Rocca delle Macìe was established on a solid base of ethical values, constructed by Italo in order to make his dream a reality. The respect of his children and their capacity to build upon what they had received–thanks also to an expansive idea of family, open to anyone who wanted to share the dream–did the rest. The Zingarelli family has not compromised on this approach as the business has grown and the number of co-workers has increased. By sharing the journey with the team over the past 40 years, Rocca delle Macìe has now become one of the largest wine producers in Italy, yet it has never lost the expectation that it will continue to grow, remaining committed to preserving–for the future and for the children–a land that is healthy and clean, and always in a position to offer up its very best fruits.

Convinced that direct contact between the winery and the consumers of its products is the most simple, straightforward way to raise its profile, the Zingarelli family has always attached considerable importance to public relations, devoting a great deal of energy to this endeavor. Indeed, since the early days of the winery, first Italo and, later, Sergio have opened the doors of its cellars to all those who are enamored of its wines and of Tuscany. Through the warm, hospitable welcome that has always been its hallmark, today Rocca delle Macìe offers the chance to visit the winery and taste its wines, served alongside the most typical dishes of the local culinary tradition, at the company’s own “Riserva di Fizzano” restaurant. In addition, the winery’s accommodation options–the Relais Riserva di Fizzano and the Torrione, created out of the loving restoration of the ancient medieval buildings by one of the brothers, architect Fabio Zingarelli–afford the opportunity to stay in the heart of the Chianti Classico area, immersed in a unique, unforgettable natural panorama.
